At HoudiniPDF (accessible from https://houdinipdf.com), your privacy is our core architectural foundation. We believe your sensitive files, tax documents, and personal contracts should remain strictly in your control.
Client-Side In-Browser Processing (Primary Mode)
Tools marked as Private / Client-Side (including Merge, Split, Rotate, Organize, Compress, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG, Add Numbers, Watermark, Sign, and Redact) process your files completely inside your web browser using WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.
2. Server-Side Conversions & Automatic 30-Minute File Deletion
For complex format conversions that require specialized server software (such as Word to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, Excel to PDF, and PDF/A), your file is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS TLS 1.3 to our conversion sandbox.
- Automated 30-minute deletion: All temporary uploaded files and converted outputs are irreversibly deleted from our servers within 30 minutes of processing.
- No human inspection: Our systems never inspect, read, or catalog the content of your documents.
- No file backups: Temporary conversion directories are never backed up.
3. Cookies & Google Consent Mode v2
We deploy standard cookies and local storage tokens to remember your preferences (such as dark mode and custom workflows) and display non-intrusive advertisements compliant with Google Consent Mode v2.
You can customize or revoke advertising and analytics consent at any time using our Cookie Banner or settings dialog.
4. Analytics & Advertising Partners
We use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible or Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization) to measure aggregated traffic trends. We partner with reputable advertising networks (including Google AdSense, Ezoic, and Mediavine) to keep HoudiniPDF 100% free for everyone.
